The Ritz-Carlton Al Wadi Expands with 35 Luxury Desert Villas, Refreshed Farmhouse by Syrco and Bespoke Fragrance Experiences

One of Ras Al Khaimah’s best-known desert retreats is entering a new chapter. Marjan Hospitality is expanding the offering at The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert with a limited collection of private residences, a refreshed dining experience at Farmhouse by Syrco and an immersive fragrance collaboration rooted in Emirati culture.

At the centre of the expansion is The Ritz-Carlton Residences Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert, where 35 standalone villas are now available for purchase within the 1,235-acre protected Al Wadi Nature Reserve.

The new phase will offer three-, four- and five-bedroom residences, with handover expected in early 2028.

35 Private Villas Within Al Wadi Nature Reserve

Designed around privacy and a close connection to the desert landscape, the residences combine contemporary architecture with elements inspired by Arabian heritage.

Each villa will feature a private temperature-controlled swimming pool, panoramic desert views and indoor-outdoor living spaces, with materials and architectural details drawing inspiration from the natural surroundings.

What distinguishes the development from a conventional residential community is its integration into the wider Al Wadi destination.

Residents will be able to combine private villa living with the hospitality, wellness, dining and nature-led experiences associated with The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert.

A dedicated Residents’ Clubhouse will provide an additional private amenity, alongside access to the broader experiences available across the destination.

For buyers, the proposition is therefore as much about the setting and lifestyle as the villas themselves: a home located within a protected desert reserve while remaining connected to the services and experiences of a luxury resort.

Farmhouse by Syrco Reopens on September 21

The resort’s culinary offering is also being refreshed.

Farmhouse by Syrco will reopen on 21 September 2026 following a design update and refurbishment, introducing a renewed focus on dining, wine and tasting experiences.

The refreshed restaurant will accommodate 270 guests across its indoor dining room, outdoor terrace and a newly introduced wine bar.

Natural materials and refined detailing will be incorporated while maintaining the warm character associated with Farmhouse.

The new wine bar will provide a dedicated space for wine discovery, tasting and retail, adding another element to the restaurant experience and the resort’s wider food and beverage offering.

The Scent Library Brings Emirati Perfumery to the Desert

Beyond residences and dining, Al Wadi is also exploring another side of experiential luxury through fragrance.

Earlier in 2026, the resort partnered with The Scent Library, an Emirati perfume house founded in Ras Al Khaimah by perfumer Saeed Al Nuaimi.

The collaboration uses scent to interpret the landscapes, ingredients and cultural heritage of the emirate.

Guests can take part in guided fragrance and blending experiences, while private in-villa sessions with a master perfumer offer a more personalised approach.

Ingredients incorporated into the experience include Emirati rose, moringa, sidr and oud, connecting the fragrances with plants and scents associated with the region.

It creates an interesting extension of the traditional luxury-resort experience: rather than simply purchasing a fragrance, guests can explore its ingredients, composition and connection to place.

A Broader Vision for Luxury Living in Ras Al Khaimah

Together, the three developments illustrate how the Al Wadi proposition is evolving beyond a conventional desert resort.

Private residences introduce a longer-term connection to the destination, while the refreshed Farmhouse by Syrco strengthens its culinary appeal and The Scent Library brings local craftsmanship and Emirati heritage into the guest experience.

As Alison Grinnell, Group COO of Marjan and CEO of Marjan Hospitality, explains, the aim is to create destinations that become part of people’s lives-places they can visit repeatedly, invest in and potentially call home.

For Ras Al Khaimah, the expansion also reflects the emirate’s growing focus on luxury hospitality, branded residences, nature-led tourism and distinctive cultural experiences.

With just 35 villas planned within the protected Al Wadi Nature Reserve, the residential component is deliberately limited, while the wider resort continues to develop experiences that connect contemporary luxury with its desert setting.
