I’m Shifalii. My name is after night jasmine (Nyctanthes arbor-tristis) a.k.a Parijat flower, that blossoms at dusk and drops by morning with its sweet-scent.

Born in New Delhi with roots in the mountains of Kumaon, Uttarakhand, India, I’ve always felt most at home in nature. Forests, oceans, deserts, snowfall, stars, the Sun and the Moon have shaped the way I see the world, constantly reminding me to slow down time and again, stay curious and find beauty within the ordinary parts of life.

Professionally, I work in digital marketing, but storytelling has always been at the heart of what I do. Social With Shefali is my lifestyle journal where I share thoughtfully curated stories on travel, wellness, food, community, events and the little discoveries that make everyday life more meaningful.

Why did I name it Social With Shefali ?

Partly because I’ve been fascinated by social media since the days of Yahoo! Chatrooms, Hi5, Orkut, and the much popular Facebook, Instagram later on, long before it became my profession. But more importantly, because social isn’t just about platforms-it’s about people, places, conversations and experiences that sub-consciously shape who we become.

I’m social, but not an extrovert. I love discovering the world around me while protecting the quietness of my sacred inner world.

If there’s one thing I hope this space inspires, it’s to explore with curiosity, live with intention, and always leave room to be surprised by the miracles happening all around you.
