Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi Sets New Guinness World Record with 55 Waterslides
Yas Waterworld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi has added another global accolade to its name after officially earning the Guinness World Records title for the most waterslides in a waterpark. Home to a record-breaking 55 waterslides, the award further cements the attraction’s reputation as one of the world’s leading waterparks and marks a major milestone in its continued evolution on Yas Island.
The achievement was celebrated during a special ceremony at the waterpark, where Dr. Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, Group CEO of Miral, and Rayan Al Haddar, General Manager of Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi, received the official Guinness World Records certificate from Hanane Spiers, Official Guinness World Records Adjudicator for the MENA region and Türkiye.
The recognition comes shortly after Yas Waterworld unveiled its biggest expansion to date, introducing 11 all-new rides, slides and attractions that expand the park’s immersive Lost City experience, an extension of The Legend of the Lost Pearl. With the expansion complete, the waterpark now features more than 70 rides, slides and attractions, with its collection of 55 waterslides serving as the highlight of the experience.
Guests can now experience everything from Matamir’s Drop, the UAE’s tallest waterslide, to adrenaline-fuelled racing slides and interactive water adventures designed for visitors of all ages. The newest attractions combine cutting-edge ride technology with Yas Waterworld’s distinctive Emirati-inspired storytelling, creating experiences that blend high-energy thrills with the park’s unique cultural identity.
Commenting on the achievement, Rayan Al Haddar, General Manager at Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi, said the Guinness World Records title reflects the park’s ongoing commitment to delivering innovative, world-class experiences. He added that the latest expansion, including the UAE’s tallest waterslide, strengthens Yas Waterworld’s position as a leading global destination for families, friends and thrill-seekers looking for unforgettable adventures.
