New Free Outdoor Event Village Nights Launches at Zayed Sports City This Weekend
Looking for something new to do in Abu Dhabi this weekend? Zayed Sports City is launching Village Nights today, 9 October, bringing together Emirati culture, live music, food and family-friendly activities in a new outdoor setting.
The best part? Entry is free.
Taking place near the tennis courts and Zone D pitches at Zayed Sports City, Village Nights is designed as a relaxed community space where you can grab dinner, meet friends, listen to live music or bring the family for an evening outdoors as Abu Dhabi’s cooler season begins.
The opening weekend runs from 9 to 11 October, with entertainment returning the following weekend from 16 to 18 October.
What’s Happening at Village Nights This Weekend?
The opening weekend combines contemporary entertainment with traditional Emirati performances, including Ayala, alongside games and live music.
Friday, 9 October
The launch night includes Block Party Bingo with Caolan, live performances by Arabic fusion band Musilive and traditional Ayala dancers.
Village Nights is open from 5pm to 10pm on Friday.
Saturday, 10 October
Saturday’s programme includes live music from singer and guitarist James Deegan, Music Bingo with Dylan & Dillonand another round of traditional Ayala performances.
The event runs from 4pm to 10pm.
Sunday, 11 October
Sunday offers a more music-focused evening with live performances from YFY throughout the evening.
Village Nights is again open from 4pm to 10pm.
Miss the opening weekend? The same entertainment programme is scheduled to return from 16 to 18 October.
What Can You Eat at Village Nights?
You won’t need to make separate dinner plans.
Several food and beverage concepts are joining Village Nights, including:

- Costa Coffee
- Healthy Station
- Ka’aki w Nos
- LAMORE
Popular UAE burger concept SALT is also confirmed to join the Village Nights line-up soon.
Food and drinks are available to purchase separately, while entry to Village Nights itself remains free.
The F&B outlets will operate from 5pm to 10pm from Monday to Friday, while the main live entertainment and family activities take place from Friday to Sunday.
A New Outdoor Spot for Abu Dhabi’s Cooler Season
One of the nicest things about October in Abu Dhabi is finally being able to make outdoor plans again, and Village Nights arrives just as the weather starts becoming more comfortable.
The concept isn’t positioned as a one-off concert or festival. Instead, it’s designed to create a casual community atmosphere around Zayed Sports City’s existing sports facilities.
You could stop by after an activity at Zayed Sports City, meet friends for coffee, have a casual family dinner or bring children along to experience traditional Emirati performances.
There’s no ticket commitment either, making it an easy addition to a weekend plan.
How to Get to Village Nights
Village Nights takes place at Zayed Sports City, close to the tennis courts and Zone D pitches.
If you’re driving, attendees are advised to enter through Gate 16 from Khaleej Al Arabi Road and follow the signs towards the dedicated Village Nights parking spaces.
Parking is available for visitors.
