Sheikh Zayed Summer Festival Strengthens National Identity Through Learning and Innovation
The inaugural Sheikh Zayed Summer Festival 2026 is proving to be more than just a summer programme. Held in Al Wathba, Abu Dhabi, the festival is bringing together education, innovation, heritage and community engagement to help nurture the next generation while strengthening authentic Emirati values.
Recently, Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, and Humaid Saeed Amer Hamad Al Neyadi, Director of the Office of the Presidential Court Chairman, visited the festival to review its educational programmes, interactive workshops and facilities, while assessing the readiness of its diverse activities and services.
A Summer Programme Designed for Future Generations
During the visit, the organising committee presented the festival’s vision of making the most of the summer break by combining knowledge with hands-on learning.
The programme has been carefully designed to help students develop practical skills, encourage creativity and innovation, and strengthen national identity through an engaging educational environment.

The Sheikh Zayed Summer Festival offers over 3,000 specialised workshops and programmes, creating a comprehensive summer experience that blends education, entertainment, culture and sport.
All activities take place within fully covered, air-conditioned venues designed to provide a safe and comfortable environment for participants throughout the summer.

Commenting on the festival, Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei said the initiative serves as a strategic national platform that reinforces authentic Emirati values while strengthening the connection between younger generations and their cultural heritage.
He added that the festival successfully combines innovation with heritage, supporting the UAE’s vision of raising generations that remain proud of their roots while being equipped with the knowledge and skills needed for the future.
