Abu Dhabi to Launch World’s First AI-Powered Judicial Platform in September 2026
Abu Dhabi is set to make legal innovation history with the launch of what is being described as the world’s first fully integrated AI-powered judicial platform, marking a major milestone in the emirate’s digital transformation journey.
Developed by the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) in partnership with the Department of Government Enablement (DGE), the platform will begin rolling out in September 2026, using artificial intelligence to support judicial and legal decision-making while ensuring that judges retain full authority over every final ruling. AI to Support-Not Replace-Judges
The new platform is designed to assist courts throughout multiple stages of litigation, helping legal professionals analyse case files, review documents, conduct legal research and retrieve relevant precedents more efficiently.
Importantly, the system operates under full human supervision, meaning AI will provide recommendations and analytical support, while all judicial decisions will continue to be reviewed, validated and issued by judges. (Gulf News)
Faster Courts and More Efficient Justice
By integrating AI across judicial workflows, Abu Dhabi aims to:
- Accelerate case processing
- Improve consistency across legal procedures
- Enhance legal research and document analysis
- Reduce administrative workload
- Improve the overall efficiency and accuracy of judicial services
The first phase of implementation is expected to begin in September 2026, with the rollout taking place in stages over approximately 18 months across Abu Dhabi’s judicial system. (EnterpriseAM Egypt)
A New Chapter in Smart Government
The initiative forms part of the UAE’s broader vision to become a global leader in artificial intelligence and smart government services.
According to the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, the platform aligns with national efforts to modernise the justice system while maintaining the highest standards of transparency, reliability and judicial integrity. Rather than replacing human expertise, the technology is intended to empower judges with faster access to information and more efficient legal analysis. (Gulf News)
As AI continues to reshape industries ranging from healthcare to finance, Abu Dhabi’s judicial platform represents another significant step in applying advanced technologies to public services—demonstrating how innovation can enhance efficiency while keeping human judgment at the centre of the legal process.
