As Eid Al Adha travel demand builds across the UAE, new insights from Skyscanner suggest residents are becoming far more intentional about how they plan, compare, and book their holidays-especially when it comes to family travel and value-driven getaways.
According to the latest search data, outbound travel searches from the UAE jumped by 51% on 26 May compared to the previous week, making it the busiest travel search day during the Eid planning period.
But beyond the surge itself, the data reveals something bigger about how UAE residents are approaching travel in 2026: flexibility, smarter planning, and meaningful family experiences are becoming just as important as the destination itself.
Among the most searched outbound destination countries from the UAE during the Eid planning period were:
- India
- Pakistan
- Egypt
- Turkey
- Sri Lanka
The mix reflects continued demand for family visits, culturally familiar destinations, and destinations offering stronger value and accessibility during peak travel periods.
Family-Led Travel Continues to Dominate Eid Plans
Family travel remains one of the strongest drivers behind Eid holiday planning in the UAE, particularly as longer breaks and school holidays continue encouraging multigenerational trips.
Previous Skyscanner research found that 41% of UAE travelers are planning holidays with family members, including parents, children, and grandparents.
The trend appears especially strong among younger travelers:
- 51 percent of Gen Z adults have travelled with parents over the past two years
- 31 percent of Millennials travelled with both children and parents
- 31 percent of Gen Z travelers have also taken trips involving grandparents
As Eid Al Adha approaches, the latest trends suggest UAE travelers are no longer simply looking for holidays – they’re looking for smarter, more efficient, and more meaningful ways to travel.
