MEI Dubai Celebrates Mid-Autumn Festival 2026 with a Special Crab-Led Menu
One of Chinese culture’s most meaningful celebrations is coming to the table at MEI Restaurant in Mina Al Salam, Madinat Jumeirah, with a special dining experience created for the Mid-Autumn Festival 2026.
From 25 to 27 September, MEI will mark the occasion with a specially curated menu centred around crab, alongside traditional moon cakes that celebrate the festival’s themes of family, reunion and togetherness.
The celebration will also extend to other SHI Hospitality restaurants across Dubai, including SHI on Bluewaters Island and MOLI at Dubai Hills Business Park.
A Crab-Led Mid-Autumn Festival Menu at MEI
Food and gathering are central to the Mid-Autumn Festival, and MEI’s three-day menu has been designed around dishes that can be shared at the table.
Crab takes centre stage, beginning with Black Truffle King Crab Soup, followed by Crab Salad, Snow Crab Dumplings and Spicy Crab Roll.
For the main course, guests can enjoy Alaskan King Crab, alongside a selection of other dishes including Tofu, Eggplant & Black Bean Sauce, Buddha’s Delight and Corn Fed Chicken.
The variety makes the menu suitable for sharing, staying true to the sense of gathering that traditionally surrounds the festival.
Moon Cakes Bring a Traditional Touch
No Mid-Autumn Festival celebration would be complete without one of its most recognisable culinary traditions: the moon cake.
Traditionally shared between family and friends during the festival, the round shape of moon cakes is associated with unity and completeness.
MEI has created a special Moon Cake dessert priced at AED 50 for the occasion, giving diners a chance to finish their meal with a nod to this longstanding tradition.
Celebrations Across MEI, SHI and MOLI
The Mid-Autumn festivities won’t be limited to Madinat Jumeirah.
The specially curated festival menu will also be served at SHI on Bluewaters Island from 25 to 27 September.
Meanwhile, the AED 50 Moon Cake dessert will be available across all three SHI Hospitality concepts: MEI, SHI and MOLI, with MOLI located at Dubai Hills Business Park.
This gives diners across different parts of Dubai an opportunity to experience at least part of the celebration without necessarily heading to Madinat Jumeirah.
