Dubai’s Biggest Gaming Weekend Is Almost Here: What To Expect At GameExpo 2026
Dubai is getting ready for a weekend where gaming, esports, anime, cosplay, creator culture and family entertainment all come together under one roof.
Returning as the flagship event of Dubai Esports & Games Festival (DEF), GameExpo 2026 is set to take over Dubai World Trade Centre from 5 to 7 June, bringing three days of immersive experiences, live competitions, hands-on gaming, entertainment and community-driven activities to the city.
With tickets starting from just AED 29, visitors can access one of the region’s largest gaming events while also standing a chance to win a brand-new Jetour T2 Luxury Plus, courtesy of Elite Group Holding.
This year’s edition is bigger than ever, expanding across Exhibition Halls 5, 6, 7 and 8 at Dubai World Trade Centre. From esports tournaments and gaming showcases to anime-inspired installations and family-friendly attractions, the event is designed to appeal to everyone from dedicated gamers to curious first-time visitors.
More Gaming, More Experiences
Visitors can explore more than 300 gaming devices, simulators and interactive experiences spread across over 10 themed zones.
Competitive gamers can watch live esports tournaments and community competitions featuring popular titles and emerging talent, while casual players can jump into hands-on experiences throughout the venue.
The popular Dubai Cosplay Championship also returns this year, giving some of the region’s most creative cosplayers the chance to compete for a prize pool worth AED 50,000.
Alongside the gaming action, attendees can expect family zones, retro arcades, creator experiences and interactive entertainment designed for all age groups.
New Zones Making Their Debut
One of the biggest highlights of GameExpo 2026 is the introduction of several brand-new themed experiences.
The Neo Tokyo District transports visitors into a futuristic anime-inspired universe filled with cyberpunk aesthetics, immersive installations and photo-worthy moments.
For those seeking action, the Amazon Battle Arena introduces an indoor laser tag experience complete with mission briefings, maze-style gameplay and team-based challenges.
Meanwhile, motorsport enthusiasts can head to the Jetour Velocity Garage, where racing simulators, driving experiences and automotive showcases create an adrenaline-fuelled gaming environment.

Fan-Favourite Attractions Return
Several of GameExpo’s most popular experiences are also making a comeback.
The Main Stage Arena once again serves as the centrepiece of the event, hosting esports competitions, cosplay showcases, entertainment segments and crowd-favourite stage moments throughout the weekend.
The Gaming District returns with more than 100 PC and console gaming stations catering to players of all skill levels, while the Family Zone offers creative workshops, gaming experiences and activities designed specifically for younger visitors and parents.
Fans can also head to the Just Dance Stage, developed in collaboration with Ubisoft, where live dance battles and interactive challenges take place throughout the event.
For a nostalgic trip down memory lane, the Retro Zone brings back iconic classics including Pac-Man, Tetris and Donkey Kong, alongside vintage arcade machines and pinball favourites.
Food, Shopping And Creative Communities
Beyond gaming, GameExpo 2026 also offers plenty of opportunities to explore food, art and creator culture.
The Talabat F&B Zones will feature more than 25 food trucks, snack vendors and dessert concepts, ensuring visitors can refuel between gaming sessions.
Meanwhile, The Narrows, supported by Dubai Culture, will showcase more than 80 artists, collectors and creators offering artwork, collectibles, merchandise and unique pop-culture-inspired finds.
As gaming continues to shape entertainment, technology and global communities, events like GameExpo reinforce Dubai’s growing position as a regional hub for gaming, esports and digital culture.
