Emirates Loves Palestine Launches at Expo City Dubai with Music, Food and Culture
Dubai is celebrating Palestinian culture, heritage and community with the inaugural edition of “Emirates Loves Palestine”, bringing a large-scale cultural gathering to Expo City Dubai.
Launching on 29 August at Dubai Exhibition Centre, the event is expected to welcome more than 20,000 participantsand will take place in the presence of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence.
From Palestinian music and folk performances to traditional food, crafts and homegrown businesses, the event has been designed as a celebration of the Palestinian community and its cultural heritage.
Mohammed Assaf and Imad Farajin Join the Programme
Entertainment will form a major part of the inaugural event, with a line-up of Palestinian artists and performers taking to the stage.
Among the names announced is popular Palestinian singer Mohammed Assaf, alongside comedian Imad Farajin and several other artistic and community figures.
Visitors can expect a mix of songs, live music, Palestinian folk arts and comedy performances throughout the programme, showcasing different elements of the country’s cultural identity.
Explore Palestinian Food, Crafts and Heritage
Beyond the performances, Emirates Loves Palestine will offer visitors an opportunity to discover Palestinian traditions through several dedicated cultural areas.
Displays will showcase Palestinian heritage, traditional crafts and arts, while another section will provide a platform for homegrown projects created by members of the community.
Food will naturally be part of the experience too. A dedicated area for traditional Palestinian cuisine will introduce visitors to some of the flavours and dishes associated with the country’s culinary heritage.
Together, the different areas aim to create a broader cultural experience rather than simply a stage-based celebration.
Celebrating Communities in the UAE
Emirates Loves Palestine is organised by the Emirates Loves Palestine page, in partnership with the UAE-Palestinian Friendship Club and Palestinian Business Council – Dubai & Northern Emirates.
It forms part of the wider “Emirates Loves” series, an initiative celebrating the different communities that call the UAE home and highlighting their cultures, traditions and contributions to society.
The first edition places the spotlight on the Palestinian community while celebrating the longstanding social and cultural connections between Emirati and Palestinian people.
Through food, music, art, entrepreneurship and shared community experiences, the event also reflects the UAE’s wider emphasis on cultural diversity, tolerance and coexistence.
For anyone interested in discovering Palestinian culture in Dubai, the inaugural Emirates Loves Palestine offers the opportunity to experience several aspects of its heritage together under one roof.
