Young chefs across the UAE now have the chance to showcase their skills on a national stage. KUTO has partnered with the Dubai College of Tourism (DCT) to launch the inaugural KUTO Young Chef Competition 2026, celebrating the creativity, passion and potential of the country’s next generation of culinary talent.

KUTO has partnered with the Dubai College of Tourism (DCT) to launch the inaugural KUTO Young Chef Competition 2026, celebrating the creativity, passion and potential of the country’s next generation of culinary talent.

Open to UAE residents under the age of 25, the competition invites aspiring chefs and passionate home cooks to share not only their cooking skills but also the story behind their signature dish.

To enter, participants must submit a short introduction video, prepare an original dish of their own creation and explain the inspiration behind it. Entries will be judged on creativity, culinary technique and storytelling, giving contestants the opportunity to express their unique perspective through food.

Known for its carefully curated collection of Japanese knives, KUTO has steadily built a reputation for championing craftsmanship, culinary education and the artistry behind professional cooking. The Young Chef Competition continues that mission by creating opportunities for emerging talent to learn, grow and gain recognition.

The winner will receive return flights to Tokyo (terms and conditions apply), while the runner-up will be awarded a handcrafted Japanese knife worth AED 1,500, reflecting KUTO’s commitment to supporting future chefs through both experience and craftsmanship.

For young food enthusiasts looking to take the next step in their culinary journey, the competition offers more than just prizes—it’s an opportunity to showcase creativity, gain valuable exposure and become part of a growing community that celebrates excellence in cooking.

Results will be announced in mid-July, with 10 finalists selected for the finals on 27 July 2026, taking place at DCT’s culinary school.
