Desert pop up with Gorilla Dance near Dubai
There are so many desert dining cafes around Dubai right now but I wanted to explore only the crazy ones and I did ended up at one. This is My Space Cafe that comes on the Al Madam area of Sharjah- around a 45 mins drive from Downtown Dubai. This desert cafe has been getting all the attention for their wild Gorilla act and a breathtaking fire bending interactive act that will leave you zapped.
VIEWS
With the views of a mountainous terrain on one side behind which the sun sets and aesthetically sand dunes on the other side, this cafe is a combination of a quiet off set spot which is neither too hidden nor too noisy. It opens around 4pm so if you are someone who keeps sundowner plans on their list, then please add this one to it. ENTERTAINMENT
They have a 7 feet Gorilla (of course there is a man inside) who will not leave you alone. It is the coolest and wildest thing I have seen in any of the Desert pop up. His dance moves are LIT and kids or adults, I saw everyone going crazy to dance and chill with him. He starts his act around 5 pm so make sure you are there well before time.He hangs around at every table, entertains everyone, people flock him for selfies and funny dance moves. Around 6pm they also the traditional Tanoura dance performance thats lasts for some good 10-15 minutes.
The highlight of the evening is their fire show and trust me when I say that no doubt you would have seen the fire show at several desert safari’s but the way the fire bender interacts with you at this show in incomparable. If you are Braveheart like me- volunteer to interact with the fire bender, you will go home with a different feeling.
FOOD
The menu is pretty much what you Would find at a quick take away coffee bar, with crispy burgers, hotdogs, sandwiches, cheese cake, coffee’s, hot chocolate, cold frappe’s, mojito’s & milkshakes.
