My Happy Space

Welcome my little social space everyone. My name is Shefali and it stands for the flower Nyctanthes a.k.a commonly known as Night blooming jasmine, tree of sadness, tree of sorrow, coral jasmine. But I only associate with the Blooming Jasmine part of that description. I was born in New Delhi, India but we are originally from a mountain region called ‘Kumaon’ , a picturesque hill station surrounded by lofty mountains, surreal lakes, charming villages and simple community. I worked as a Digital Marketing manager for most of my life, and have now started blogging full time after quitting my job.

I strongly believe I have an unknown connection to the nature as it affects me in mysterious ways. I mostly find my solace, answers, energy, motivation, beauty inspiration, just about everything from Mother Nature. Trees, ocean, desert, snow, wind, fire, animals, stars, sun, meteors, astro physics- I can keep thinking about them, they fascinate me since childhood.

Why I named my blog “Social with Shefali” : Ok so there are two reasons behind it. First being my love for Social Media starting from the yahoo chatroom days that got us lot in trouble back then. Then it was Hi5 and suddenly I was obsessing over profile view counts because that was the popularity criteria for it. Then came the era of Orkut, Facebook, twitter, instagram, snapchat, clubhouse.. So yes, Im here to document all my learning from my experiments with social media.

Second is I always wanted to journal down my social experiences in the way they affected me. Im known to be a social person, let me clarify, Im social but not an extrovert. I can spend my time discovering people and places and yet never let anyone have a sneak peak inside my brain. That’s just how I am engineered by birth.
