Dubai Police Brings Free Interactive Cybercrime Awareness Experience to Dubai Mall Until 10 October
With online scams, deepfakes and digital fraud becoming increasingly sophisticated, Dubai Police has launched an interactive cybercrime awareness experience at Dubai Mall, giving visitors a practical look at how to stay safer online.
Running until 10 October 2026, the platform has been set up by Dubai Police’s e-Crimes and Cybersecurity Department as part of Cybersecurity Awareness Month.
Rather than relying only on information displays, the experience combines interactive games and artificial intelligence technology to help visitors recognise common online threats and understand how cybercriminals operate.
Learn How Online Scams Actually Work
One of the main aims of the Dubai Mall platform is to help people understand the different methods scammers use to steal money or personal information.
Visitors can learn about several increasingly relevant areas of online safety, including deepfakes, financial fraud, personal data protection and cybercrime targeting children.
The experience also explores safer behaviour in digital spaces, making it particularly relevant for families, parents and anyone who regularly shops, banks or communicates online.
AI and Interactive Games Make Cybersecurity Easier to Understand
Instead of presenting cybersecurity purely as a technical subject, the platform uses games and AI-powered elements to make the information more accessible.
This forms part of the wider “UAE is Safe With Your Digital Awareness” campaign launched by the Ministry of Interior in collaboration with Dubai Police and the Dubai Electronic Security Centre.
The October campaign is focused on helping the public recognise emerging cyber threats, understand new fraud techniques and develop safer online habits.
Visitors Can Also Learn How to Report Cybercrime in Dubai
The platform also introduces visitors to Dubai Police’s official eCrime reporting service.
The service can be used to report internet-related crimes including electronic extortion, hacking, financial fraud and unlawful use of credit cards.
Visitors are also introduced to the eCrime Hub, Dubai Police’s bilingual cybersecurity awareness resource covering fraud detection and prevention for children, parents, employees, business owners and everyday internet and social media users.

Worth Visiting If You’re Already at Dubai Mall
This isn’t necessarily an attraction you’d plan an entire Dubai day around, but if you’re already visiting Dubai Mall before 10 October, it’s a useful free educational stop – particularly for families with children and teenagers.
With AI-generated content and online scams becoming harder to identify, understanding what to look for can be considerably more useful than simply being told to “be careful online.”
The platform also gives visitors clear information on what to do if they actually encounter or become a victim of cybercrime.
