Abu Dhabi Awards Young Ambassadors Champion the Spirit of Giving at ADIHEX 2026
The Abu Dhabi Awards, in collaboration with the Supreme Council for Motherhood & Childhood, hosted The Next Generation of Giving as part of its ongoing Meylas programme at the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) 2026 at ADNEC Abu Dhabi.
Featuring members of the Abu Dhabi Awards Young Ambassadors, the session explored how children and young people can play an active role in strengthening a culture of giving within their communities.
Giving Through the Eyes of the Next Generation
Rather than focusing solely on established community leaders, The Next Generation of Giving placed young people at the centre of the conversation.
The session was moderated by Khalifa Al Kaabi, a member of the UAE Children’s Parliament and an Abu Dhabi Awards Young Ambassador.
Discussions highlighted the role younger generations can play in encouraging social responsibility, participating in their communities and demonstrating through their own actions that giving does not need to be defined by age.
The session also reflected the wider objective of creating opportunities for children and young people to develop the skills and confidence needed to become positive influences among their peers.
What Is the Abu Dhabi Awards Young Ambassadors Programme?
The Abu Dhabi Awards Young Ambassadors programme was launched in 2022 with the aim of developing children’s skills while encouraging greater community participation and volunteerism.
Through the programme, young participants are encouraged to become role models for their peers and demonstrate how contributing to society can become part of everyday life.
Bringing Young Ambassadors into the Meylas programme at ADIHEX also gives them a public platform to share these values with a wider audience.
Abu Dhabi Awards Meylas at ADIHEX 2026
The Next Generation of Giving forms part of the Abu Dhabi Awards Meylas programme taking place during ADIHEX 2026.
The Abu Dhabi Awards’ participation at this year’s exhibition centres around the message “Goodness Is a Living Heritage,” connecting the UAE’s longstanding traditions and values with contemporary examples of generosity, community service and social responsibility.
The Young Ambassadors session adds another dimension to that message by looking towards the future and considering how those same values can be carried forward by children and young people.

Two Decades of Celebrating Goodness in the UAE
Established in 2005, the Abu Dhabi Awards is a government initiative held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.
Over the past 20 years, the initiative has recognised individuals whose actions have positively contributed to communities across the UAE.
To date, 100 individuals representing 18 nationalities have been honoured through the Abu Dhabi Awards.
Importantly, recognition is not restricted by age, nationality or profession. Members of the public can nominate UAE citizens, residents and even non-residents whose acts of kindness and service have made a positive impact on the UAE.
And it only takes one nomination for someone to be considered for an Abu Dhabi Award.
By giving its Young Ambassadors a voice at ADIHEX 2026, the initiative is extending that philosophy beyond recognising those already making a difference. It is also encouraging the next generation to see giving, volunteering and contributing to their communities as values they can practise from an early age.
