Wellness events are increasingly evolving beyond traditional fitness classes into experiences centred around community, emotional wellbeing, and creating safe, supportive spaces for people to reconnect with themselves. In Abu Dhabi, that shift was reflected through the inaugural “Made For Her” wellness initiative, which brought together more than 200 women at Yas Marina Circuit for an evening focused on movement, mindfulness, and holistic wellbeing.

Organised by Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre in partnership with NMC Healthcare, the event was hosted as part of Yas Marina Circuit’s well-known TrainYAS initiative, which regularly transforms the Formula 1 circuit into a community fitness destination.

Held on Wednesday, 6 May, the “Made For Her” event created a dedicated environment where women could prioritise both physical and mental wellbeing through a series of carefully curated wellness experiences.

The evening’s programme featured a blend of fitness and restorative sessions designed to cater to different wellness preferences and energy levels. Participants joined Mat Pilates sessions led by Wanna Pilates, Vinyasa Yoga guided by Thrive with Lindsey, alongside a calming Sound Healing and Breathwork session facilitated by Dr. Shatha Al Ghazali.

Beyond movement classes, attendees also had access to complimentary health screenings and personalised wellness consultations provided by NMC Royal Hospital Abu Dhabi, adding a preventative healthcare layer to the initiative and encouraging women to engage more proactively with their overall wellbeing.

For many participants, the event became more than simply an evening workout. Several attendees described the experience as emotionally restorative and motivating, particularly for those restarting or maintaining their wellness journeys.

One participant shared, “Such experiences can just release the weight off your shoulders, and I loved it,” while another described the event as an important source of motivation while getting back into healthier routines.

According to Frank Delisi, the initiative reflects a wider commitment towards community-driven preventative health and wellness awareness in Abu Dhabi.

“NMC Healthcare is proud to partner with TrainYAS and Abu Dhabi Public Health to bring ‘Made for Her’ to the community, an initiative that reflects our shared commitment to advancing women’s wellness in a meaningful and accessible way,” he said.

The initiative also aligns closely with Abu Dhabi’s broader health transformation agenda, where prevention, education, accessibility, and community engagement continue becoming increasingly central to public health strategies across the emirate.

As wellness culture continues growing across the UAE, initiatives like “Made For Her” reflect a wider shift towards experiences that combine fitness, mental wellbeing, healthcare access, and community support within one environment — making wellness feel less intimidating, more inclusive, and genuinely sustainable for everyday life.
